On Wednesday morning, we waited for the bus as a group while the other classmates were in class. When the bus arrived, we went to the „ROC van Twente“ school in Hengelo to meet the students we had traded with during the ITO project week. When we arrived at the school, we were warmly welcomed by the teachers.
Then we all had breakfast together and talked a bit to get to know each other better. After that, we were taken on a tour of the large school and were able to see how the students work there and what the differences are compared to our school.
Initially, we played a game in English with the students to get to know each other better. We then ate lunch together.
After that we took the bus to the “Grolsch“ brewery, where we were shown the different areas of the brewery. After visiting “Grolsch“, we took the bus to Enschede to check into the hotel. The hotel room was a twin room with a bathroom, a safe and a refrigerator. After that, we had the rest of the day off.
The next morning, we had breakfast at the hotel and then checked out. We had to change trains once. When we arrived in Amsterdam, we formed two groups and did a treasure hunt through the city. The winners received a prize. During the treasure hunt, we also got to know each other better.
After the treasure hunt, we went back to the train station, got on the train, and went back to Enschede. From there, we took the bus to Ahaus. One thing that should be mentioned: all costs were covered by the school.
